Installation is complete!

Installation is complete. Here is the new relay system and wiring. All wiring is neatly routed and soldered. All that remains is some voicing and regulating.

Here the windchests and framing have been installed in the chamber. New PVC windlines have also been installed as has the new bass offset regulator.

Here the floor frame upon which all the components of the organ will stand has been assembled and installed in the chamber. The chamber has been freshly painted by the church in preparation for the installation of the organ.

Here is the completed organ as it will be installed in the organ chamber. The next step is to complete the wiring of the console and relay system.

Offset Chests

Here is another view of the organ showing the new offset chests (lower right with big pipes on it) and the top of the existing chests. Next week's agenda is to complete the wiring of the windchests and the console and also to get the remainder of the pipes installed on the chests.

It looks like its brand-new!

Well, it almost is!. Here is the organ set up in our shop with new floor framing, chest legs, offset bass chests, and pedal regulator (foreground). The existing windchests (where the pipes stand) were retained but new oak bottom boards and rack boards were built to replace the chipboard and formica boards that were on the chests. New offset bass chests (in the back with the big bass pipes on them) were built to replace the myriad second hand bass chests that we took out. This allows for a much better layout of the chamber space. New PVC wind lines have been installed as well as a new pedal regulator (the medium size of the 3 boxes on the floor) have been installed. The existing main regulator (which had an unbelievable 15 big holes cut in it!) has been provided with new oak sides and has been releathered. The tremulant (vibrato machine), which is the smallest box on the floor, has been releathered as well.

Work begins

Work has begun! The organ was removed and transported to our shop for restoration on the 17th of October. This is a before picture of the organ chamber. The organ will get re-engineered and setup at our shop prior to installation. A new solid state relay and MIDI system will be installed. Installation in the church is planned just prior to Thanksgiving. Check back frequently for updates.
